Word edit (Chinese)

A.I.VOICE Editor allows users to register words with their own reading in the word dictionary.

This section describes the Chinese word dictionary.

* This function is available only in the environment where Chinese Voice is installed. Also, the registered words are only available when the Chinese voice is used to read them out loud. For the Japanese word dictionary, please refer to Word edit.

Register a new word (Chinese)

Select “Tools” -> “Register Word (Chinese)” from the menu to open the Word Register (Chinese) window.

Heading

Enter the word notation in full-width Kanji characters.

Pronunciation

Enter the pronunciation of the word. See Pronunciation notation rules.

Register a word (Chinese)

After entering all items, click the “Register” button to register the word in the user word dictionary (Chinese).

* Words are considered to be the same item if the headings match. Even if a new word is created, it will overwrite an already registered item with a matching heading.

Edit word (Chinese)

Select a word in the Word List (Chinese) screen and click the “Edit” button to display the word edit screen for the selected word.

The subsequent process is the same as for standard new registration (see “Register a new word (Chinese)”).

* As mentioned above, words are considered the same item when the headings match, so even when editing an existing item, if the heading is changed, it will be registered as a new item. (The item selected when the “Edit” button is pressed will not be deleted.)

Delete word (Chinese)

Select an item on the Word List (Chinese) screen and click the “Delete” button to delete the selected item.

Pronunciation notation rules

The pronunciation of a word is described using a combination of pin in and four tones.

Pin in is available from the list below.

The four tones are specified by half-width numbers from 0 to 4, with 0 representing the light tone and 1 to 4 representing the first through fourth tones.
