These Character Usage Guidelines are the guidelines for the use of the characters KOTONOHA AKANE/AOI operated by AI, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and related information (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines").
* Please refer to the License Agreement attached to the software separately for the terms and conditions for the use of speech synthesizing software products with KOTONOHA AKANE/AOI.

Article 1 (Definitions)
The term "Character" as used in the Guidelines shall mean a virtual person whose name is KOTONOHA AKANE/AOI, the name of the Product, which is composed primarily of the Product, its sales promotions and any other information that the Company provides in connection with the Product, and any other information indicating the attributes of such virtual person, including, but not limited to, all names and designs relating to such virtual person (including, but not limited to, images provided by the Company, as well as the appearance, clothes and any other expressions of the virtual person depicted in such images).

Article 2 (License)
1. The Company grants individuals or their circles (limited to unincorporated organizations) to use the secondary creations of the Characters in the following manner: (i) the disclosure and distribution of such secondary creations and their copies for free and wholly non-commercial purposes; and (ii) the distribution for a fee not exceeding the actual cost of the production of the secondary creations and reproductions thereof as a circle of the same person, and the disclosure thereof.
2. Notwithstanding the Paragraph 1, the Characters shall not be used in any manner that: (i) significantly impairs the evaluation, reputation, or image of the Company, the Product or the Character; (ii) is contrary to public order and morality; (iii) is likely to mislead that the provision of such secondary creations is authorized by the Company or its authorized persons (including use in a manner that recites "authorized" or "formal" of the Company); or (iv) infringes or is likely to infringe upon the rights of others.
3. Any use outside the scope of the license provided for in Paragraph 1 shall be subject to a separate license from the Company. Please contact the Company.

Article 3 (Violation of Guidelines)
The Company will, in its sole discretion, examine and determine whether the use of the Characters is in violation of the Guidelines. The Company will not be obliged to respond individually or publicly to any inquiry from a third party regarding the breach of the guidelines for individual works.

Article 4 (Changes to the Guidelines)
The Company shall be entitled to change the contents of the Guidelines by using the Internet or any other appropriate means to inform users of the amendment to the Guidelines, the amended terms, and the effective date/time of the amendment, if the Company reasonably deems it necessary.
Since only the license under the amended Guidelines will be effective after the effective date, please refer to the amended Guidelines.
